Christmas 2017/January 2018
WOW! What an exciting few weeks it’s been for our Whittlefield School Choir! Before Christmas, we visited two local residential homes to sing carols to the residents, who absolutely loved our singing and didn’t want us to leave! We will definitely be going again! Not only that, but our choir also went to TESCOs in Padiham to perform more Christmas songs, as well as raising money for a local charity- The Elizabeth Street Project , who really appreciated the money.
In January our choir took part in the amazing Young Voices concert at the MEN Arena in Manchester. There were hundreds of other schools there, so the atmosphere was electric! Check out our pictures!
Over the past few weeks, the choir have been busy having fun practising lots of different Christmas songs!
On Monday 5 th December our school choir all went to perform some of these festive tunes at TESCOs in Burnley in order to raise money for charity. The choir decided they would like to donate all the funds raised to Shelter, who help homeless people. The children were amazing and sang beautifully! They managed to raise a fantastic total of £150!
Watch this space for more super singing from our choir, who have more fun events and performances planned including Sing Together at Blackburn Cathedral and the Last Choir Standing competition next year.
