Parent Voice

Each term parents are asked to complete a questionnaire with 13 statements in order for us to evaluate our effectiveness and act on their views. The summary of the percentage of parents who agreed with the statements are below along with actions taken as a result of feedback.

Action taken to address feedback:

Autumn 2015

  • Salad bar introduced at lunchtimes – all children to have hot vegetables or salad or fruit.
  • Weekly requests on newsletters regarding healthy packed lunches.
  • New homework policy implemented in January 2016 with homework diaries for every child.
  • Leaves were swept up immediately and monitored daily thereafter.
  • Parents’ evenings, which were not held in October due to staff absence for Nursery, Year 1 and 4 were held in December.
  • Interim reports were sent out to parents at the beginning of February with an opportunity for parents to discuss progress at parents evening the week after.
  • Expectations about changing reading books in all classes was outlined in a staff meeting and consistent procedures were put in place in all classes.
  • Dates for upcoming events are on the weekly newsletter and now on the website calendar a term in advance wherever possible.
