It was lovely to actually physically go into the school building today, socially distanced and wearing a mask of course. On arrival I saw Mrs Brindle rehearsing with her Year 2 class on the upcoming Christmas production. The children were on stage practising their lines. It was great to see some normality in these unique times.
I then had a lovely catch up with Mrs Tipping who is in a new office due to the Covid restrictions, and then went on to have my safeguarding meeting with Mrs Vent. I checked the Single Central Record (which is a legal requirement) was up to date and meeting all safeguarding expectation. Everything was thorough and meticulous.
I then observed a class having their afternoon playtime. It does seem strange to see each bubble having the yard to themselves, but at least they have lots of room to play.
The visit ended with me seeing the Wonder Wizard of the Week being announced in the Wonder Wizards class. It was amazing to see how much the children wanted this accolade. The winner told me he was so thrilled to be wearing the Wizard’s hat and had been waiting since week 1 for this title!!
On behalf of all the governing body, we would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and lets hope for a less eventful 2021!!
