Hello, my name is Sonya Root and I’m the Staff governor. I have worked at Whittlefield Primary for over twenty years. With the current pandemic, it has been a strange time to be in school. Our last governor meeting was held over Zoom. I think that Mrs Kershaw has done a great job, working hard to ensure the health and safety of pupils and staff alike. Along with her leadership team, she has helped us look after each and every pupil. I’m currently working in Year 6. Unfortunately, we have had to isolate for two weeks. The teaching and learning still has to go on though! Seesaw, Purple Mash and IDL are all buzz words that every parent will be used to by now. As is always the case, the teachers and all the staff have adapted to the new way of working and as always, I’m proud to be a small part of what makes our Whittlefield family work.
