Computing
At Whittlefield, Computing is taught following the programmes of study in the National Curriculum.
Skills based Computing lessons are taught in Key Stages 1 and 2 using the Purple Mash scheme of work (an overview of which can be found below) to ensure full coverage of the National Curriculum. Computing is taught in a more cross-curricular way in Early Years.
The children all have their own personal user names and passwords and can also access Purple Mash at home on a variety of devices to further their learning.
In school, the children have access to lap tops and ipads. This hardware is also used for cross-curricular learning in other subjects.
