Supporting Dementia

Whittlefield Primary have become dementia friends with Ashmede Care Home on Padiham Rd, Burnley. We have plans to take groups of children to participate in activities which have been planned by the staff at the home. Our first activities include singing together and floor games! Our children are so excited to make friends and take part in all the activities!

‘We wanted to become Dementia Friends because we would like to learn about what it’s like to live with dementia and the small ways we could help. We hope being a dementia friend will make life better for people affected by dementia within our community.’
