French

In Key Stage 2 at Whittlefield, we have chosen to learn French as our Foreign Language.

French is taught following the programmes of study in the National Curriculum.

French lessons are taught using the Twinkl scheme of work for Years 3-6, an overview of which can be found below. There is also a sample medium-term (half-termly) overview of one unit of lessons from Year 3.

Lessons are short, fun and interactive and mainly involve speaking and listening. Any written work will be kept in a French folder which follows the children through Key Stage 2 to each new class.
