How has the Sports Premium been allocated at Whittlefield in 2022/23?

Whittlefield Primary School prides itself on providing high quality sporting opportunities for all of its pupils. We believe that having an innovative and varied PE curriculum and extra curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all children. Our governors abide by our philosophy and agree that all children should benefit regardless of their sporting ability.

We are using funding to:

• Support the  engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity – Chief Medical Officer guidelines recommend that primary school children undertake at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day in school

• The profile of PESSPA being raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement

• Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport

• Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils

• Increased participation in competitive spo
